Explore the Campus!

Take this opportunity to explore the University of Michigan and Ann Arbor. Tech Day provides tours of North Campus, but Central Campus is definitely worth checking out too! Here are some links to help you start your exploration.

Be sure to walk around the main Central Campus diag area bounded by State St., N. University, Church St., and S. University. The Law Quad is a popular spot for visitors and photographers. Central Campus is also home to many museums which are open to the public at no charge.

Visit Nichols Arboretum, known as "the Arb", which you can see on the Central Campus Map on the very east portion of the map, just north of Geddes Road and Oxford Housing. The Arb is a nature conservatory that is very fun and interesting to visit. Many students enjoy walking, running, playing sports, and relaxing in the Arb.

If you are more adventurous, you can experience riding on a university bus. The blue U of M buses are free and are an invaluable resource for engineering students traveling between Central Campus and North Campus. Routes and schedules can be found here.

Many other interesting sites on Central Campus are listed in this self-guided tour.

If you have any questions while on Central Campus, the Campus Information Center has an information desk on the first floor of the Michigan Union. They can also be reached by phone at (734) 764-INFO (4636) or 4-4636 on any campus phone.
